Projects

The Saugeen Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) has been involved with many different and varied projects over the past 25 years ranging from training to feasibility studies to local & regional Community Economic Development (CED) projects.

We define CED as "projects that will lead to the maintenance and creation of jobs that match the values of the Saugeen Community" and actively seek projects that will assist with CED in and around the Saugeen Community.

The SEDC partners with Municipalities, Counties, Provincial & Federal governments, local businesses, business organizations, non-profit organizations, service groups and individuals for the overall benefit of the SEDC catchment area.

Over the past 25-years our projects and partnerships have included business and workforce training (e.g. seminars, workshops & conferences); feasibility studies (e.g. Water Centre, Hotels & Medical Clinics); community municipal and regional plans (e.g. strategic, cultural, sustainability & business plans); CED initiatives such as Marketing the Saugeen Region and all of its benefits (Print, Web-based, Social Media & attending trade shows); partnering on infrastructure projects (e.g. green energy, utilities, telecommunications & trails), and youth initiatives (health careers, co-op, apprenticeship & workforce preparation projects).

The SEDC's mission is "working in partnership for the communities' future" and our door is always open to work with those that share this mission. Please feel free to call our offices to discuss potential projects and how we can work together for the benefit of the entire community.
